Statement on sand mining at Pākiri

Ngāti Manuhiri has reached a formal agreement with McCallum Bros Limited (MBL) that will see the end of sand mining at Pākiri.

The agreement confirms the surrender of MBL's remaining consents, the withdrawal of its appeals and a settlement of all court proceedings.

This is a significant step forward in protecting and restoring Pākiri for future generations. A full statement and story will follow.
