He mahi Rangatira: Ringi Brown

Kaumatua Ringi Brown retired from the operational aspect of Ngāti Manuhiri Settlement Trust which meant retiring as a Cultural Advisor for Hōkai Nuku, Relationship Partner to Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport on Ara Tūhono - Pūhoi to Warkworth Project.

Together with Hōkai Nuku representatives, Northern Express Group (NX2), Waka Kotahi and the Construction Joint Venture Team, Ringi completed his final site inspection/walkover which happened to be on the almost complete Arawhiti ki Okāhu followed by a farewell lunch.

Ringi has been a huge part of the Hōkai Nuku process and whanau since its conception and it's important to mention that Ringi will still provide Kaumatua tautoko to the Project as a Trustee of Ngāti Manuhiri Settlement Trust.

Ara Tūhono will be open to traffic in May 2022 which will increase safety for commuters between Pūhoi and Warkworth.
