About Us
The Ngāti Manuhiri Settlement Trust is a Post Settlement Governance Entity (PSGE) who are the mandated and approved entity to represent Ngāti Manuhiri and its environs. The Ngāti Manuhiri Settlement Trust provides environmental services through the Manuhiri Kaitiaki Charitable Trust and Manuhiri Houkura Trust.
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
This is a managerial role to lead the office administration and operations support for all teams to operate efficiently including a direct focus on all payroll requirements, Xero accounting, invoicing, GST returns, contract management, grants applications, and ensuring the office is run in an efficient and welcoming manner.
Working as a member of our leadership team, you will be involved in driving business efficiency and process improvement through the provision of quality information and relevant timely analysis.
Desired experienced applicants will have proven experience in a similar role.
Skills necessary for this role include;
Experience in finance and accounting management.
Knowledge of and experience using business systems/IT applications such as Xero, and payroll
Knowledge of and experience in Human Resource administration, in particular recruitment, and performance management
High level of computer skills including a high level of competency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Strong written communication and reporting skills
Skilled at professional formatting and presentation
Good intuition and practical problem-solving capability
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Highly organised with strong time management capability
Must be discrete and committed to maintaining confidentiality
Good oral and written communication skills, desirably with some capability in Te Reo Maori.
Mōu - About you
What you will bring:
10+ years of overall combined office administration and financial experience
Excellent xero accounting software user and administration skills
Experience with creating financial statements
Demonstrated ability in developing and consolidating financial models that facilitate effective decision-making across departments
Ability to understand an organisation’s strategic direction and translate this into financial strategies and implement enabling action plans
Proven track record in budgeting and cashflow management
Experience with business case development and feasibility analysis
Experience with KPI and performance reporting for a variety of stakeholders
Demonstrated experience with risk assessment & management
Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage one-off projects
Experience and ability to contribute as part of a senior leadership group
Demonstrated experience with sales forecasting and “what-if” scenario analysis
